I have a feeling that it was more common to meet "close talkers" in the past in the world, than now. But the phenomenon has always fascinated me. What is it that one of these gentlemen in this artwork, completely breaks most customs by breaking the social norms we have long had with a personal intimate sphere of their own? I have met many close talkers, some acquaintances, but I have told them that they are too close, but it is a little more difficult to do this with total strangers, right?
